They like cheese

Current location: Racine, WI
Total miles traveled: 998 miles

What an awesome day we had! We began our daily journey by having breakfast at McDonald's. There were so many people on Chillicothe this morning that we waited about 20 minutes to place our order. You know what is not served in Ohio? Chicken biscuits! I never imagined that chicken biscuits were a southern thing, but apparently they are.

After breakfast, we thanked the hotel man another 40 times, and hit the road. While in Indianapolis, we stopped and took a Starbucks break and realized that our luggage bag has begun to rip. We are praying that it will make it the whole trip home.

Chicago came next and boy oh boy, it did not disappoint! It was so big and busy. There was an Amtrak in the middle of the highway that was so neat. If we had one of those at home, I'd ride it to work everyday because those things are pretty darn cool! While Chicago was super cool, it was also extremely busy. Other than Los Angeles traffic, this is truly the first time I've been nervous riding the bike, but we made it through, thank goodness!

While traveling today, we met a woman who was about to run out of gas, and asked us for spare change. I've never, ever, in all my 24 years given someone money; however, after all the help and kindness we were offered yesterday, it only seemed right to pass along the kindness. I just kept remembering the gentleman who asked us to pay it forward to the next person we discovered in need. I hope that she truly needed it and that she felt the same gratitude that we felt yesterday.

Finally, around 10, we arrived in Wisconsin. They like cheese. Like really like cheese. There are cheese castles and cheese statues and cheese everything. Obviously, we will have to locate some yummy cheese to eat tomorrow.
